Basketball Recap: Treasure Coast Find Success

Treasure Coast won the last time they faced Westwood, and Torre Washington did his part to make sure it happened again. The Treasure Coast Titans came out on top against the Westwood Panthers by a score of 52-43 on Friday thanks in part to Washington, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. He has become a key player for Treasure Coast: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least ten boards, but 10-11 otherwise.

Another player making a difference was Isaiah Dunkley, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and six steals. Those six steals gave him a new career-high.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Marquan 'The Bad Man' Burgess, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan 'Real Deal' Crutchfield, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 boards.

Treasure Coast now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Westwood, their defeat was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-14.

Treasure Coast has already played their next game, a 57-51 victory against Vero Beach on the 3rd. As for Westwood, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 75-55 win against Heritage on the 3rd.
