Basketball Game Preview: Palmer Terrors vs. Air Academy Kadets

The Palmer Terrors will venture away from home to take on the Air Academy Kadets at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Palmer's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven games.

Palmer is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 85-42 win over Harrison. The victory continues a trend for the Terrors in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Air Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 72-53 bruising from Pueblo West. While losing is never fun, the Kadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Cyclones are ranked 75th).

Palmer's win bumped their record up to 13-8. As for Air Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Palmer strolled past Air Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 61-45. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Air Academy's Max Howery, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that he won't be playing on Monday, will it be easier for Palmer to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
