Baseball Recap: Wildwood Catholic Takes a Loss

Wildwood Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Middle Township Panthers. Even if the Crusaders couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Wildwood Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Middle Township, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Wildwood Catholic is set to take on their familiar foe Atlantic City at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Middle Township will square off against rival Oakcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
