Basketball Game Preview: New Buffalo Bison vs. Eau Claire Beavers

New Buffalo is on a three-game streak of home losses, Eau Claire a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The New Buffalo Bison will welcome the Eau Claire Beavers at 7:30 p.m. New Buffalo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season.

On Tuesday, New Buffalo came up short against Phoenix and fell 61-53.

New Buffalo might have lost, but man, Lucas Forker was a machine: he dropped a double-double on 22 points and 12 boards. The game was Forker's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was M'Nason Smothers, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds.

Meanwhile, Eau Claire also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Mendon by a score of 56-47.

New Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Eau Claire, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.

Everything came up roses for New Buffalo against Eau Claire when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the squad secured an 85-56 win. Will New Buffalo repeat their success, or does Eau Claire have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
