Basketball Recap: Hoquiam Comes Up Short

Hoquiam was the 57-44 winner over Columbia when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Hoquiam Grizzlies took a 69-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbia Bruins on Monday. While the Grizzlies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bruins 20-15 in the first quarter.

Hoquiam's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-15. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.7 points over those games. As for Columbia, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Hoquiam nor Columbia have any future games scheduled.
