Basketball Recap: Oxford Takes a Loss

Oxford suffered their closest defeat since January 12, 2024 on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bartlett Indians by a score of 67-65. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 66-52.

Oxford has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points per game. As for Bartlett, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Oxford is taking a road trip to take on Auburn at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bartlett has already played their next match (against Southbridge), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
