Softball Game Preview: Cameron Comets vs. Hayward Hurricanes

Cameron hasn't had much luck against Hayward recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Comets will welcome the Hurricanes at 5:00 p.m. Cameron will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Cameron barely beat Cumberland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets blew past the Beavers 11-1 on Friday. The Comets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten runs or more this season.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Hayward and St. Croix Falls had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Hurricanes skirted past the Saints 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Saints: they've now won three in a row.

Cameron pushed their record up to 14-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Hayward, their victory bumped their record up to 15-9.
