Manchester's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They blew past the St. Anne-Pacelli Vikings 16-1. The victory was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Caylin Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Johnson was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Auriyanna Wright was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Aprela Painter, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

The win got Manchester back to even at 1-1.

Manchester will venture away from home to take on Schley County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for St. Anne-Pacelli, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Manchester at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
