Football Game Preview: Phil Campbell Bobcats vs. Gordo Green Wave + Official Tickets

The Phil Campbell Bobcats will face off against the Gordo Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Phil Campbell will be strutting in after a win while Gordo will be coming in after a defeat.

Phil Campbell is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 56-12 victory over Carbon Hill. The win was nothing new for the Bobcats as they're now sitting on three straight.

Phil Campbell found their leader in sophomore Braxton Downey, who rushed for 58 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries.

Meanwhile, Gordo might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was Vinemont who claimed the real prize. The Green Wave fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 22-19. The game marked the Green Wave's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Phil Campbell will have to contain Ryder Robertson as he made an impact in Gordo's last game. He rushed for 172 yards and a pair of scores.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gordo fell to 6-1. As for Phil Campbell, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Phil Campbell was dealt a bruising 48-12 loss at the hands of Gordo when the teams last played back in October of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Bobcats were down 31-6.
