Basketball Recap: Independence Tigers vs. Dutchtown Griffins
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Opelousas, Independence was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They snuck past the Dutchtown Griffins with a 49-43 victory.

Derrick Dupard was the offensive standout of the matchup as he posted 20 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jayden Anderson, who scored 11 points.
