Rio Linda didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Debora Aguirre, Arriana Bradell, Angelisa George, and Isabella Hernandez picked up one apiece.
The win (which was Rio Linda's seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-6. As for Woodland, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Rio Linda and Oakmont are set to duel on Tuesday. Rio Linda is on a six-game streak of home wins, Oakmont a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Woodland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
