Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Newhalen). They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Akiachak Huskies on Saturday, sneaking past 74-71. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Malamutes have posted since January 10th.

The win made it two in a row for Newhalen and bumps their season record up to 4-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.0 points over those games. As for Akiachak, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-3.

As of now, neither Newhalen nor Akiachak have any future games scheduled.
