Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Young Men's Leadership Academy). They claimed a resounding 80-49 victory over the Gateway Charter Academy Gators. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 51-47 on January 3rd.

Gateway Charter Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trevion Gabriel, who posted 15 points and eight boards. That's the most points Gabriel has posted since back in December of 2024. Cason Hunt was another key player, going 7 of 12 en route to 17 points.

Young Men's Leadership Academy's win bumped their record up to 14-11. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Young Men's Leadership Academy will venture away from home to challenge Inspired Vision at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gateway Charter Academy, they will take on A Plus Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
