Volleyball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

The Bloomfield Bees came up short against the Elgin/Pope John Wolfpack on Tuesday and fell 3-1.

Bloomfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 23-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-17.

Madyson Mlady paced Bloomfield's offense, picking up 16 kills. Mlady got some help from Kennedy Mlady and her 27 assists. Aleah James controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Elgin/Pope John to victory were Elizabeth Moser and Gentry Zwingman. Moser had nine digs and two aces, while Zwingman had 24 digs. Those 24 digs gave Zwingman a new career-high.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Elgin/Pope John, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-10.

As of now, neither Bloomfield nor the Wolfpack have any future games scheduled.
