Volleyball Recap: Moorpark Takes a Loss

Moorpark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Calabasas Coyotes. The Musketeers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Coyotes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2022.

Moorpark started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-18.

Moorpark's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Calabasas, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Moorpark will host Newbury Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something the Musketeers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Calabasas, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Simi Valley at 6:30 p.m.
