Basketball Recap: Canton Makes It Four in a Row at Home

Canton had won three straight home games and Allison Wheeler did her part to make it four on Saturday. The Canton Little Giants blew past the Farmington Farmers, posting a 65-17 victory for which the team can thank Wheeler, who went 5-for-10 on her way to 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. What's more, she posted four steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Emma Turner, who earned five points and five steals. She is becoming a predictor of Canton's success: when she posts at least three steals the team is undefeated (and 12-14 when she doesn't).

Canton has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-14 record this season. Farmington has been struggling recently as they've lost 17 of their last 19 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-25 record this season.

Canton has already played their next game, a 47-35 win against Macomb on the 17th. Farmington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
