Basketball Game Preview: Lake County Panthers vs. Bennett Tigers

Lake County hasn't had much luck against Bennett recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Panthers face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Lake County is headed into the match out to prove that what happened against Jefferson on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Lake County came up short against Jefferson, falling 51-25.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 59 points the game before, Bennett was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They were outmatched by Peak to Peak and fell 51-22. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-6.

Lake County's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Bennett, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7.

Lake County was dealt a bruising 68-9 loss at the hands of Bennett in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Lake County, Lily Venneberg (who dropped a triple-double with 24 points, ten rebounds, and ten steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
