Volleyball Recap: Bandys Beats Newton-Conover for Their Third Straight Victory

Bandys had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They blew past the Newton-Conover Red Devils 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Bandys won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-21.

Gracyn Hollifield paced Bandys' offense, picking up 11 kills. Hollifield got some help from Camdyn Earnhardt and her 17 assists. Earnhardt was also solid from the service line: she led the team with eight aces.

Bandys' win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Newton-Conover, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Bandys has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Foard on the 26th. As for Newton-Conover, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against North Lincoln on the 26th.
