Volleyball Recap: Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Central managed to slip by Yuma Catholic the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spartans came up short against the Shamrocks on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since October 22, 2024.

Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Yuma Catholic work for it, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-18, 25-15.

Despite the loss, Central still got an impressive performance from Emma Vogel, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.

Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against San Diego on the 29th. As for Yuma Catholic, they will head out on the road to square off against Brawley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
