Beecher strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 6-1 victory over the Illiana Christian Vikings. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ava Lorenzatti spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Elena Kvasnicka was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted over her last ten matchups.

Beecher's win was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 9.4 runs this season. As for Illiana Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Coming up, Beecher will be playing at home against Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bobcats 1.2, the Wildcats 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Illiana Christian, they will be taking part in a tournament against Westfield at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
