Soccer Recap: Pella Comes Up Short

Pella came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Wapsie Valley Warriors. While losing is never fun, Pella can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while Wapsie Valley are ranked third).

Pella's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11-1. As for Wapsie Valley, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 16-0.

Looking ahead, Pella will challenge Dallas Center-Grimes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wapsie Valley, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 2-2 draw against Nevada on the 17th.
