Basketball Game Preview: Palisades Pirates vs. Catasauqua Rough Riders

The Palisades Pirates will head out on the road to take on the Catasauqua Rough Riders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palisades has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Catasauqua will come in with three straight victories.

On Tuesday, Palisades took a blow against Southern Lehigh, falling 65-35.

Despite the loss, Palisades saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lincoln Cook posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Catasauqua made easy work of Pen Argyl on Friday and carried off a 59-36 win. That 23 point margin sets a new team best for the Rough Riders this season.

Palisades' defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Catasauqua, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.

Palisades ended up a good deal behind Catasauqua when the teams last played back in January of 2024, losing 59-44. Can Palisades avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
