Baseball Game Preview: Bishop Carroll Huskies vs. Somerset Eagles

Bishop Carroll hasn't had much luck against Somerset recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Huskies will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Bishop Carroll has given up an average of 11.6 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Bishop Carroll managed to slip by Forest Hills the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Huskies came up short against the Rangers on Tuesday, falling 18-3. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Somerset was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Forest Hills. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Somerset saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kahne Foltz, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Bishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Somerset, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 9-1.
