Volleyball Recap: Baldwin County Takes a Loss

Baldwin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Daphne Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.

Leading Daphne to victory were Makenzie Valentine and Grace Thigpen. Valentine had seven digs and three aces, while Thigpen had 14 assists and two aces. Thigpen is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Baldwin County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-28. As for Daphne, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-16.

Baldwin County has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Buckhorn on the 9th. As for Daphne, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Fairhope on the 8th.
