Football Game Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Morenci Wildcats + Official Tickets

The Tuba City Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Morenci Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tuba City is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Tuba City proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by 84) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Holbrook, sneaking past 20-18.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Morenci, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Arete Prep by a score of 34-21 on Friday. Considering the Wildcats' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Tuba City better keep an eye on Julien Aragon. He was instrumental in Morenci's win, rushing for 269 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Aragon is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremya Cruz, who rushed for 88 yards on only five carries.

Morenci was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 448 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Tuba City's record is now 7-3. As for Morenci, their record now sits at 6-4.
