Calvary Christian faced Plant in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Panthers, sneaking past 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won four games in a row.

Calvary Christian was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 15-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-15, 15-9.

Sophia Puleo paced Calvary Christian's offense, picking up 12 kills. Puleo got some help from Noelle Sarigumba and her 37 assists. Finally, Jada Lane kept Calvary Christian's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Calvary Christian's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Plant, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian will head out to face off against Cardinal Mooney at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plant, they will challenge Osceola at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
