Softball Recap: Spring-Ford Has No Trouble Against Phoenixville

Spring-Ford owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Phoenixville Phantoms with a sharp 7-0 win. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Phantoms recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The result came thanks to Jess Fliszar's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 18 Ks. Those 18 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Addie Eross was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Autumn Eck, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Spring-Ford's record now sits at 8-3. As for Phoenixville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Spring-Ford will square off against Emmaus at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rams surely won't give up without a fight. As for Phoenixville, they will take on Valley Forge Military Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
