Volleyball Recap: Anderson Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Anderson took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Willows, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cubs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Honkers on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Cubs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Payten Ford paced Anderson's offense, picking up seven kills. Ford got some help from Isabella Wyatt and her 15 assists. Finally, Renna Shriner kept Anderson's defense grounded, leading the team with 11 blocks.

Anderson's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Willows, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Anderson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Eureka on the 13th. As for Willows, they will head out on the road to take on East Nicolaus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
