Basketball Recap: Providence School Makes It 22 in a Row at Home

Providence School lost to Ponte Vedra back in January of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Everything went the Providence School Stallions' way against the Ponte Vedra Sharks as the Providence School Stallions made off with a 60-37 victory. The Stallions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 22 points or more this season.

Providence School's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kasey Davey, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Davey has been hot recently, having also posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Janai Jordan, who went 5 of 6 en route to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Providence School was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ponte Vedra only racked up six assists.

Despite the loss, Ponte Vedra still got an impressive performance from Jocelyn Hoffmann, who went 6 for 13 on her way to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camila Felsing, who posted seven points and five boards.

Providence School's win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Ponte Vedra, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Providence School will head out to challenge Hilliard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ponte Vedra has already played their next game (against Andrew Jackson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
