League recap: LaGasse dominating on the mound for Foundation Academy

2A District 5 league recap: 3/8/13

Sean Lagasse was the best pitcher in 2A District 5 this week, leading Foundation Academy. Over the past week, he had one win and 11 Ks.

Justin Minnick was on fire this week, as he led the league with a .636 average with six RBIs. Meanwhile, the Lions put together a 3-0 week.

Foundation Academy's pitching staff had a strong showing this week, allowing only 18 hits and two walks, both of which led the league.

The Lions' Minnick is tearing up 2A District 5 this season as he leads the league in average, hits and RBIs. He has been a tough out all season, and has compiled 12 hits and nine RBIs while batting .480.

Foundation Academy's Minnick destroyed 2A District 5 pitching this week while leading the league in average, hits and runs batted in. Minnick feasted on opponents pitching with a .636 average and six RBIs thanks to seven hits.



Michael Guard drove in four runners as the Lions defeated Pine Castle Christian Academy 23-5 on Thursday. He went 2-for-4 and scored one run.

Foundation Academy's LaGasse struck out 11 Orlando Christian Prep hitters en route to a 10-4 victory on March 1. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed four runs on three hits.
