Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lubbock). They put the hurt on the Roma Gladiators with a sharp 10-3 win on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Westerners have posted since February 29, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Brumley, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-2. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season. Genaro Carrillo was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

The win made it two in a row for Lubbock and bumps their season record up to 2-4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs over those games. As for Roma, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5-1.

Looking ahead, Lubbock will be taking part in a tournament against SA Roosevelt at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Roma has already played their next game (against Lubbock-Cooper), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
