Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson-Morgan). They breezed by the Mapletown Maples to the tune of 75-29 on Friday. With the Rockets ahead 49-10 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Jefferson-Morgan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Houston Guesman led the charge by going 8 of 13 on his way to 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayten Marion, who posted ten points along with eight boards and five assists.

Jefferson-Morgan was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Jefferson-Morgan, bringing their record for this year to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Mapletown, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

Jefferson-Morgan and Bethlehem Center will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on December 27th. As for Mapletown, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Burgettstown at 7:30 p.m. on January 14, 2025.
