Billings West has gone a perfect 10-0 against Great Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Golden Bears will challenge the Bison at 12:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Billings West is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Billings Central Catholic, who was ranked 13th at the time (Billings West was ranked 11th). The Golden Bears lost 12-6 to the Rams on Thursday.

Alise Steinmetz and Tayten Abrams did some serious damage despite the final result: Steinmetz went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI, while Abrams went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Abrams' first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ryane Viker, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Helena hit Great Falls with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bison took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bengals. The loss continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Bengals: they've now lost four in a row.

Great Falls saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Davis, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Billings West's record now sits at 8-5. As for Great Falls, their record is now 3-11.

Billings West took their win against Great Falls when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
