Softball Recap: J.P. McCaskey Red Tornado vs. Manheim Township Blue Streaks
J.P. McCaskey had lost seven straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped their record down to 7-11 to make it eight. They lost 13-2 to the Manheim Township Blue Streaks. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Red Tornado couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alayah Gartman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Keira Koser Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
As for Manheim Township, the win got them back to even at 8-8. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the contest before.
On Manheim Township's side, they got a great performance from Violet Wagner as she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. What's more, Wagner posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March.
We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. J.P. McCaskey is set to square off against their familiar foe Cedar Crest at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Manheim Township will face off against rival Penn Manor at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
