Baseball Recap: Bowie Has No Trouble Against Eleanor Roosevelt

While Bowie put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Eleanor Roosevelt. The Bulldogs blew past the Raiders 8-0. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Taylor Brown, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Jayden Ryland was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Bowie was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Bowie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.
