Basketball Recap: Arlington Heights Takes a Loss

Arlington Heights saw some tournament action on Thursday. They took a blow against the Waxahachie Indians, falling 75-38. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 956th, while the Indians are ranked 237th).

Waxahachie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Bizzell out in front who posted 14 points and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamarie Hardeman, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Arlington Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Waxahachie, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.

Arlington Heights didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-44 loss against Pampa on the 6th. Waxahachie has also already played their next contest, a 64-40 defeat against Ryan on the 6th.
