While Monrovia put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Temple City. Monrovia walked away with a 5-0 win over Temple City. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 victory the Rams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Not much got past James Quesenbery, who gave up just three hits to keep Temple City off the board. Quesenbery has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Troy Grise was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Micah Maljian, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Monrovia's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Temple City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-6-1.

Monrovia didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-1 loss against San Marino on the 17th. As for Temple City, they have also already played their next game, a 4-1 victory against South Pasadena on the 17th.
