Baseball Recap: Brandeis Comes Up Short

Brandeis entered their matchup against Hunter College on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs lost 8-2 to the Hawks. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 7-4.

Samuel Chaifetz was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Brandeis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hunter College, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brandeis will challenge Lab Museum United at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hunter College, they will take on East Side Community at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Hunter College will need to watch out since East Side Community has now posted at least ten runs in their last seven games.
