Dora has gone 9-1 against Floyd recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Coyotes are taking a road trip to square off against the Broncos at 10:00 a.m. Dora has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dora is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Gateway Christian just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Wednesday. They lost 15-0 to the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Coyotes' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, Floyd is still winless after their matchup against Elida on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tigers.

Brayden Parks and Archer Knox stepped up to the plate in a big way. Parks went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double, while Knox went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that Knox has hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Reiley Melton, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Floyd's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Dora, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 6-3.

Floyd's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Dora has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. It's a different story for Floyd, though, as they've been averaging 16.2 hits. Given Dora's sizable advantage in that area, the Broncos will need to find a way to close that gap.
