Brandon/Evansville came into Thursday's match looking for another win against Upsala, but Alexa Pilarski wouldn't allow it. The Cardinals won by a set and slipped past the Chargers 2-1 thanks in part to Pilarski, who had 14 digs. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Upsala who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 12-25, 15-13.

Upsala's win bumped their record up to 8-16. As for Brandon/Evansville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-15.

Upsala didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Osakis on the 16th. Brandon/Evansville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
