Softball Recap: Belchertown Falls to Monson in First Game of Season

Belchertown unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Monson Mustangs by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Orioles in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

The win (which was Monson's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Coming up, Belchertown will face off against Commerce at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Monson has already played their next matchup (against West Springfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
