Basketball Recap: Laverne Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Laverne took on Arnett on Tuesday. The Laverne Tigers took a blow against the Arnett Wildcats, falling 73-37. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Laverne's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Arnett, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-3.

Laverne will head out on the road to challenge Beaver at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Beaver: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Laverne has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. As for Arnett, they will face off against Tyrone at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Arnett knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Tyrone likes a good challenge.
