Recap: WestSide Renegades vs. Tug Valley Panthers
After flying high against the Nicholas County Grizzlies on Tuesday, the WestSide Renegades came back down to earth. WestSide was dealt a 78-51 loss at the hands of Tug Valley on Friday. WestSide has not had much luck with Tug Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
WestSide lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brayden French, who scored 19 points. Austin Bishop was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
WestSide's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-1. As for Tug Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
WestSide will be home for the holidays to greet Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps West Virginia Rankings (they are ranked 87th, while WestSide is ranked 27th). As for Tug Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against Tolsia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tolsia focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Wednesday.
