Hamilton faced Casteel in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Huskies claimed a resounding 54-14 victory over the Colts. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Colts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hamilton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jax Sculley, who threw for 304 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.2 yards per attempt. What's more, Sculley racked up ten rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Skyler Cole, who rushed for 83 yards and a pair of scores.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Hamilton proved: they limited Casteel to a paltry 2.5 yards per carry. While two picked up at least six total tackles, Derrick Leblanc Jr stood above the rest. He picked up two sacks and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss). Hamilton didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.8.

Hamilton didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Keaton Fields. Leblanc Jr was another major factor on D, picking up two sacks and making six total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Although Casteel took the loss, they still got scores from Troy Jauregui, Riley Hunt, and Gunnar Choy.

Hamilton's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Casteel, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 70-33 win against Brophy College Prep on the 19th. As for Casteel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 30-18 victory against Boulder Creek on the 19th.
