Torrington had won four straight games and Chris De La Cruz did his part to make it five on Friday. The Torrington Raiders walked away with a 65-55 win over the Seymour Wildcats thanks in part to De La Cruz, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Hamilton, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points. Payton Motyl also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Torrington pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Seymour, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Torrington has already played their next contest (against Southington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Seymour is taking a road trip to square off against Harding at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
