TALON PETERSEN struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with two or fewer walks. This year, he has an ERA of 1.97 over 11.2 innings pitched.

PETERSEN's strong effort led Jordan over East and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Beetdiggers are a perfect 4-0 against the Leopards going back to May of 2024, a lead they'll look to extend.
