Volleyball Game Preview: Beech Buccaneers vs. Liberty Creek Wolves

The Beech Buccaneers will take on the Liberty Creek Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Beech is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Beech lost 3-0 to Green Hill on Tuesday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Green Hill scored at least 17 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Liberty Creek was able to grind out a solid victory over White House-Heritage on Thursday, taking the game 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolves.

Liberty Creek had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-23.

Beech's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Liberty Creek, their win bumped their record up to 18-13.

Beech skirted past Liberty Creek 2-1 in their previous matchup last Saturday. Will the Buccaneers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
