Soccer Recap: Mira Loma Triumphs

After losing to Oakmont the last time they met, Mira Loma decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Mira Loma Matadors won by a goal and slipped past the Oakmont Vikings 3-2.

Arav Kanyal and Kelor Garcia scored all three of Mira Loma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Mira Loma's victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Oakmont, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-2-3.

Mira Loma will venture away from home to take on Lincoln at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln's last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Oakmont, they will square off against Colfax at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colfax is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
