Volleyball Recap: Franklinton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road + How To Watch

Franklinton lost against Wake Forest back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Rams fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Franklinton took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 22-25, 12-25, 25-18, 15-4.

Franklinton's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adalyn Smith, who had 18 assists and two aces. Smith is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Salene Crisafi, who had 15 assists and five aces.

Franklinton's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3. As for Wake Forest, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-5.

Franklinton has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Vance County on the 16th. As for Wake Forest, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Heritage on the 16th.
