Basketball Recap: Mundy's Mill Skates Past Harris County with Ease

Mundy's Mill won the last time they faced Harris County and things went their way on Thursday too. The Mundy's Mill Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Harris County Tigers 74-36. Given Mundy's Mill's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Harris County is ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Mundy's Mill to victory were Christopher Johnson and Ryan Babb. Johnson went 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and five assists, while Babb went 5 for 11 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. Johnson's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Gray, who posted nine points and three steals.

Mundy's Mill's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Harris County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Mundy's Mill Tigers take on the Starr's Mill Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Harris County, they will face off against Manchester at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manchester will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Harris County surely won't give up without a fight.
